How to Deploy Font from Group Policy Object

In this instruction, I will be installing font “Khmer OS Siemreap” from GPO based on User Object.

Font name: !Khmer OS Siemreap

File name: !KhmerOSSiemreap.ttf

Step 1: Create a new GPO

Step 2: Deliver font file into computer clients.

a.    Navigate to User Configuration >Navigate to User Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Files

b. Create “New File” by Right click > New  > File

c. Enter the source where each clients can access to that should be on file server and the destination will be “C:\Windows\Fonts\!KhmerOSSiemreap.ttf”

Step 3: Register font in the registry.

a.     Navigate to User Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Registry

b.     Create New Registry Item with the following attributes:
Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key Path: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
Value Name: [name of the font] (TrueType)
e.g. !Khmer OS Siemreap (TrueType)

Value type: REG_SZ
Value data: !KhmerOSSiemreap.ttf

c.     Click OK

Step 4: Assign the GPO to OU then will be affected after client restarted.

របៀបដោះស្រាយបញ្ហា Font ខ្មែរតូច នៅក្នុង Telegram Computer version 2.1.4

បន្ទាប់ពីលោកអ្នកបានដំឡើង Telegram version 2.1.4 ឬ ដោយ Telegram ធ្វើការ update version ដោយខ្លួនវាស្វ័យប្រវត្តិ រួចហើយមក ប្រហែលអាចមានបញ្ហាជាមួយ Font ខ្មែរ ដែលមានទំហំតូចៗ ខុសពី Version មុន ដូចខាងក្រោមនេះ

ដោយសារតែ Telegram version ថ្មីនេះ មិនស្គាល់ជាមួយ Font “Khmer OS Siemreap” ដែលមានស្រាប់។

សូមធ្វើការទាញយក Font “Khmer OS Siemreap” ថ្មីនេះ ដែលត្រូវបានគេកែប្រែ​ ដើម្បីឲ្យស្គាល់ជាមួយ Telegram ដោយគ្រាន់តែធ្វើការ Copy font ថ្មីនេះ ចូលទៅកាន់ទីតាំង “C:\Windows\Fonts” រួចហើយ​បិទបើកកម្មវិធី Telegram សារឡើយវិញ (Quit Telegram) ជាការស្រេច។

 ឬ តាមវិធីម៉្យាងទៀត ដោយ Right Click ទៅលើ Font ថ្មីនោះ រួចយក “Install for all users” រួចហើយ ធ្វើការ Restart Computer ជាការស្រេច។

·        ដើម្បីឲ្យប្រាកដថា លោកបានទាញយក Font ថ្មីត្រឹមត្រូវនោះ លោកអ្នកអាចបញ្ជាក់ដោយ ប្រើប្រាស់កម្មវិធី 7 Zip ដោយ Right click នៅលើ Font ថ្មីនោះ រួចយក “CRC SHA” => SHA-256

រួចហើយឲ្យប្រាកដថា លទ្ធផលមានលេខ ដូចរូបខាងក្រោមនេះ។
